Went to a lunchtime talk by Aled Jones (head of the Global Sustainability Institute) on the question in the title. The take home message was the suggestion that global economic collapse might not be as far away as the 1950s (as predicted by 1972 Limits To Growth) but may happen within just 5 years.

Nice to be able to appreciate it even amidst the major hustle and bustle of my mind and my ridiculously long to-do list at the moment!
In other news, I’m getting some really positive responses back so far, and I’ve just found out I’m going back to Embercombe in July
